If you're anything like me, I can't help but feel that the world is more upside down than ever, and I try to resist feeling pulled into the crazy vortex which seems to persist at this current point of time. I have been working on leaning into this discomfort, however it has not been easy. I have found that it has affected the kind of music I am drawn to listening to. As of late, I want to listen to cello or piano instrumentals, so I thought I would share my current mood playlist with you today. So here is some gorgeous, instrumental music to give you some good vibes before the weekend starts!
A moment of calm
I started this playlist for driving around in crazy L.A. traffic. These stripped down instrumentals are so calming and wholesome. I discovered many of these musicians via YouTube performing their work. Definitely check them out! I find it so inspiring to see the process of creation and passionate artists at work.
For today's cover image and the Playlist art, I used one of my trends that I covered in my 2017 Trends post on Complex Neutrals. I used desaturated split complementary colors to create subtle blend of colors to achieve the above look. I also used a deep navy which is trending this year and I also covered in the same post subtitled Deep Dive.
